The Lure

Description

IT was the sound of a helicopter flying overhead. The trees were so thick they practically blotted out the sky. So Jennifer couldn't get a look at it. Her first thought was it might be Kraven. Was THAT how he was able to catch up to her last time? But the She-Hulk didn't recall hearing a helicopter last time. Maybe it wasn't him. Maybe it was the local military. Or scientists on an expedition. Rebel guerrillas or smugglers.

If it wasn't Kraven then she could catch up to the helicopter and use its radio to send an S.O.S. Both of her old teams, the Avengers and the Fantastic Four, had a special monitor system that could pick up her voice and a key code word. The monitor would record not only her message but also the position of her transmission. It was worth the risk to follow that chopper so Jennifer did just that.

She was hoping it would be scientists on an expedition. The military, not to mention guerrillas and smugglers, would no doubt give her grief first. Fine. Let them. She had some frustrations to let out.

Jennifer came to an area that showed a clear patch of sky. The helicopter was an old Bell Huey UH-1. The odds of it being scientists dropped considerably.

After several miles of Follow The Leader the chopper finally slowed down and began to desend. In a minute or two She-Hulk would know who the owner was.

As she moved in closer to the landing site something suddenly grabbed Jen's foot and yanked her off the ground. She was pulled so hard her ration bag was thrown clear off her as she swung back and forth upside down.

A snare! A bloody damned snare! And she blundered right into it. She blundered right into the trap Kraven set for her.

Great but what would be the odds that she would step in one snare laid out in a massive forest area. very far stretched, but not impossible obviously since we are looking at he result here :)
