Description

In several realities she is Alison Blaire, the Dazzler. A mutant performer who, ruled by an unrelenting conscience, often finds herself playing the role of a super heroine. A role that she was reluctant to take on at first.

Yet, in time, she grew to accept her lot in life. She has managed to find a balance between her desire to be an entertainer and her duty as a super heroine.

But, in this reality, things turned out a little differently for Alison. Here, just before she graduated high school, her father discovered that she was a mutant who could convert sound into any form of light. She used that power to save him from being killed by a vengeful ex-con. He "thanked" her by immediately disowning her.

Heartbroken by this Alison Blaire had her name legally changed to Alison Dazzle. And, no longer bound by an oath to follow in her father's footsteps, Alison entered college as a music and dramatic arts major. Fortunately her late grandfather had left her with a very sizable trust fund.

Like her counterparts in other realms, Alison Dazzle is very much a compassionate woman of conscience. She is often compelled to do what she thinks is the right thing. So she too tends to play the role of a super heroine. Secretly using her mutant powers to help those that need to be helped and to stop those that need to be stopped. As such she became a local legend on the campus.

Thus far Alison managed to keep her mutant nature a secret.

Her roommate, and very best friend, is Susan, "Stormy" Storm. So called because she was basically a very shy person. But that would change later on after gaining powers of her own.

Stormy was a science major who had a serious crush on one of her teachers. Professor Richards. Thus, she found a way to assist him, and other scientists, with a project in Lab #4.

Lab #4 was a lab reserved for high level top secret experiments. In this case harnessing cosmic rays as a power source. But, one fateful day, something went horribly wrong and Lab #4 exploded. Stormy was believed to be the only survivor.

She later discovered she was exposed to the cosmic rays and they had given her the powers of invisibility.

Inspired by the local legend of a glowing "Street Angel," Stormy started using her new found abilities to help others in trouble. Eventually she crossed paths with the "Street Angel" and discovered it was her roommate and best friend, Alison. They compare notes and laugh over the odds of them BOTH being super powered good Samaritans. Or "super heroes."

As a result the two find themselves a team using their abilities in secret to help out when needed. They catch the attention of a major team of super heroines.

Impressed by them the heroines recruit Ali and Stormy into their ranks. Before long the pair are wearing costumes and fighting for truth, justice and the protection of the helpless alongside the greatest women in the business.

So far the two college girls are able to keep their duo life going. With only a very select few knowing who they really are.

Okay. Long story short LordSnot, this guy, :iconlordsnot: ,wanted to give the girls different names and separate them from their established MARVEL roots. Yet he wanted to keep them familiar enough that we still think of them as the heroines we know and love.

So I cooked up an alternate origin for Sue and altered Ali's past a little. As it stands right now these versions are still in college. Their lives are taking a different path than before. But power wise they are still our lovable little damsels of desire.

Both are still originally (c) MARVEL
